I was installing my own set this friday and guess what MSD does not make a set for the H2 coils, the 82468 should be the right ones since we do have a LQ truck engine but they in no way resemble the ones on the truck. I called MSD and told them my problem and they asked for the stock coil part number and said that they had no coil to replace them at this time as they are in testing and will only be released to the market around Christmas. I told them that the 82478 LS2/LS7 coil kit looks identical to the ones I need but they told me that they are not wired the same and would cause problems and they do not have enough output for the application.



Did you actually install the 82478 kit with no mods other than brackets reshaping or did you need to swap pin positions to allow it to work well???
