Re: Failed Inspection
My congratulations! Finally You did it! It looks like it was not easy to register your H1 in Ontario. Ussualy,it's not so hard to pass safety inspection in Ontario. May be because You brought Your truck from USA and they have different safety requirements. So end of the story: Is it worth to buy Hummer in USA and bring it to Canada or not? Especially H1?

I live in Quebec.I assume safety inspections(standards) are consistant through out Canada. Can't imagine they would be different in another province. It might be easier to bribe an inspector in Kenora that it would be in Montreal though. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ot-ssh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':ssh:' /> ''Hey man,I'll pay for the beer when we go fishin next week if you overlook my bad breaks''
As for buying a Hummer in the states.Yes,It's worth it,especially now with the high Canadian dollar. Many more for sale down there than up here. But its always a bit of a guessing game buying on the net.Make sure you get it inspected first.I was lucky,my brother lived a half hour from the seller so he had it checked out for me.

One day(I hope!) may be I will buy H1 if God give me power and money! Probably It will be trip to USA. Unfortunatelly I don't have close relatives in USA(I have in California, but it's too far for me,from Toronto!). So it will be hard technically to inspect car over there. But it's a good way to buy car!

Definitely,it's a good way if mileage so low and no rust. Problem how to inspect truck in USA without having friend or relatives over there! But I like this idea. I think I can safe some money if I will buy truck in USA compare to Canada!

Re: Failed Inspection
There are professional inspection companies out there that will send a licenced mechanic to go over the vehicle and tell you everything you need to know...otherwise...fly yourself and your favorite mechanic out with you to look at the one you are going to purchase as a precaution before the final payment.

it's a good way. I didn't know about those companies who can make inspections. How, in generally, I can find those companies?
