Your Local parts store should be able to get ahold of it!! Ask for the MOOG part!

Hey Kev

You wouldn't happen to have a part number for the Moog pitman arm would you? We are having a tough time locating one. They did find a listing for a 97, ours is a 98, any difference that you know of?

Any help is appreciated, I know the dealer can get one, but it is a week away.

I had bad luck with the NAPA/Generic parts for steering components [they are often the older non-problem sover models]

The Factory part numbers for the "Moog problem solver" is:

AM General part numbers:

6011300 ASSEMBLY, PITMAN ARM [around $65 USD]

5745558 KIT, IDLER ARM [around $116 USD]

The kits have Moog problem solver stamped on them and come with the nuts and hardware.

If a local Hummer dealer is marking them up really high, you can order them from Lynch or Tustin Hummer in the US, and you should have it at near wholesale [above prices] no tax, plus, free ground shipping to the US and Canada if you don't mind waiting up to a business week.

I'm finding pitman and idler arms are a wear/maintenance item especially if you daily drive your H1 and go wheeling a lot, especially with lift kits and larger tires. One of my friends running 40" tires and a lift goes through a set a year.
