Thanks John that was an awesome weekend! It was great to get out of the city, get the truck dirty, have a BBQ, sleep in a tent and have John protect you from a savage bear! Ok, tenting might not be everyones thing, but who doesn't enjoy a good bear chase?Image Image

Looking forward to a trip back next month. Image

Well I could not see anything more than this, even with the help of Ministry of transportation.

HTA link

And it says

" Every number plate shall be kept free from dirt and obstruction and shall be affixed so that the entire number plate, including the numbers, is plainly visible at all times, and the view of the number plate shall not be obscured or obstructed by spare tires, bumper bars, any part of the vehicle, any attachments to the vehicle or the load carried. 1994, c. 27, s. 138 (7).

OPP must have a different act,, and I could not find it.

OPP do not have a different act...just a different interpretation of the same act....around the plainly visible at all times....section..

Well I guess that it would be easily fightable in court. Because law its not base on interpretation, its based on wnat the law says and what is written on it. As stupid as it may sound when you read it. If it doesnt say "on bumper" but " plainly visible at all time" you can put it anywhere.

Be carefull since article 73. mention

(1) No person shall drive a motor vehicle upon a highway,

(a) with any sign, poster or other non-transparent material or object placed on the windshield or on any window of such motor vehicle; or

(<img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> with any object placed in, hung on or attached to the motor vehicle,

in a manner that will obstruct the driver’s view of the highway or any intersecting highway. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 73 (1).

SO in short, you cant put it in the windshield

Good luck
