I was just checking out some weather stats for the Whipsaw area and I'm thinking May would be a good time for a spring trip? Weather should be good, comfortable temperatures but not too hot or cold, snow is well on it's way out and might even be all melted... My vote goes to Whipsaw since it just seems like an amazing area. Lots of history and great scenery, trails looks great!

So how many days you want to spend on the trails? I'm thinking a night or two?? Three?? I dunno about everyone else but I can easily drive to the general area in a day, but I don't know specifically where access to the trails is?

Maybe May Long weekend then?

The guy that did that Wipsaw video is coming out on our next trip on the 23rd, we can ask him for some advice and get some details on the trip.

Awesome, that'll be great to talk to him. I am really excited for this and would definitely like to get the ball rolling again!

Now I am OK to take a week (or a few days or whatever) off work to do this but I can understand if not everyone can. Personally I would actually prefer to do the trip any weekend BUT the long weekend simply because it makes traveling much easier and safer for everyone, but if that's what's most accommodating for the group then by all means I would be happy with that.

I should be down for this! I'd say wait and talk things over with that guy on the 23rd and then pick a date after reviewed in more detail.

Of course I think a long weekend would be best... but then again the May long weekend is one of the busiest, so that needs to be taken into account as well and JL pointed out....

I'm down for whatever weekend in May. I have never done the Whipsaw but I have many friends that have and I have researched a bunch. I will gather some details/info as well.
