Yeah there are a few places in the states (first one that comes to mind is Hline conversions)... cost is around $50,000 for a custom conversion, or 30,000 for a pre-defined one (for the H2 and H1).

I wouldn't want to throw that kind of cash around, that is for sure.

I figure the engine would run around $15,000, add another $2,500 for the OEM hardware/accessories... If you did that part of the installation yourself I would guess you might need another $5,000 to cover specialty tools, fluids and parts. A high pressure diesel fuel pump is also a hefty price, add $1000 for that.

Then you have to deal with the computer system, which would be the real wild card. I don't know if you could just buy the entire harness and computer system out of a D-max and use it... probably not. I would say $5000 bones for a custom system, tuning and re-connection of all the other truck systems.

So total cost: ~29,000

Yikes!

Yeah, more than likely I would look at running some kind of mild FI system... really all I would be after is another 30 or 40ft/lbs of torque that my truck seems to be lacking.

Sorry about that I got ahead of myself. I found this link for a guy in Michigan that has developed a bolt on supercharger.

That sounds pretty sweet, although I don't think I am quite ready for it right now though. I still have just over 3 years of factory warranty left.

Ideally I'd like to keep my manual transmission too, any idea what kind of power those diesels have?
