I replaced mine because the bearings went. Then I replaced it again.(bearings) Then again but on the US side of the border (new one). I returned the CDN one back and it was replaced with a new one. I now have the US in the truck and the CDN as a back up. Both are with life time warrenty.

P.S. Takes 5 mins to change an alt if you have a spare (on the side of the highway) LMFAO
