Everyone been's awful quiet....

So are we a go for thev11th?

Start off in cochrane, head out the Bragg creek, get a coffee or sumfin... From there the back road driving by elbow falls... Quick stop to check it out. Continue on to the powder face which takes us to sibbald creek trail which then takes us to the 40. Same back way into Canmore from there....

I am in for whatever we do on the 11th <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Anybody know how to get a hold of Brian, I left him a text and voice message but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. I wasn't sure if he is just really busy or out of town at the moment.

Totally down for this but everywhere I read, the Powderface is closed Dec 1... kind of a bummer but I'd be up for the same route as last year?

That sucks that Powderface is closed, I thought that would be open all year round

I guess we can do the route we took last year, start off in Cochrane and either head out along Ghost lake or take that route Brian found last year over to the Spray Lakes trail.

I'm curious as to what is happening as well. Details like where we're going, what we're doing, etc. If we're getting together for a drink and dinner, I'll see if I can make it and bring the girlfriend. I'm looking more for just a drive than any offroading, as we were discussing earlier.

These are mostly unpaved roads typically open to all cars, nothing too extreme. I'd never get my wife to come along if it was anything more.... not since that wrong turn at the falls <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... oflmao.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rotflmao:' />

Maybe I'll head out to Sibbald this weekend. I did some more research to and I found one site saying December 15th and I found another saying December 1st..

Nevermind - on phone with them now and it's December 1st... must have changed one year and some sites were never updated as it was a "non official" site that I saw it on first when I saw the 15th.... It was that years ago and I used to travel it in winter for fun so I thought nothing of it....

So I think we are definitely doing a nice drive this day - just have to hash out the route... We can still take the sibbald creek train and do donoughts again in the parking lot!! That was fun!!!

I don't know, should we take the backroute along ghost lake and then flip over to sibbald creek trail?
