Does you Ram Pickup have a Cumins Diesel if so look up the H1's with rebuilds from YOUR truck's engine. In other words we don't hate Dodges we use them for PARTS. PS we call them Dummers

[/quote]

hahaha. No, sadly my Ram has a Gas engine. I've seen the Cummins Hummers, they are pretty cool. But I'll take what ever one I can afford.

My Dodge Ram is at the shop right now. Both of the upper ball joints were bad. It need an NY inspection too. My mechanic friend has worked on H1's in the past and has worked on the Humvee's in the military so he knows all about them.

Do you do guys do work of your trucks or do you go to a shop? I can do a lot, but I still go to the shop for really hard things or when it needs to be done on a lift.

Just because I drive a HUMMER don't mean I don't care about the planet.... in fact it means I can get to most parts without any help!
(try that in your prius)

Welcome to the club! I was just like you, dreaming of buying a Hummer since I first saw one back in 98! Just got mine in Mai 2011 (1999 H1 Wagon)! Never regretted buying it Each time I take it, pretty much everyday, I feel like another person! There is something about driving a Hummer that makes you feel alive (and more like a man!)

Anyways, we'll keep an eye for any H1 for sale and keep that dream of yours flowing!

Whats Johnnys? Thanks for the offer! I would love to drive or even riding shotgun would be worth it.

Thanks for the welcome. I know what you mean about feeling like another person. I feel like that every time I see one on the road....and I'm not even behind the wheel of it!

Actually, I did get a Christmas card from Canada Customs out of Ottawa. I go state side at least once a mth to get parts. Why pay $80 a rotor when I can get them there for $35. I time my trips so I come back with over $2000.00+ worth of parts. When you saw me at Fed-Ex, I was picking up some rims from XD for a Hummer club member.

I didn't realize parts were so expensive over there. Where do you normally shop for parts? I go to Advance Auto Parts pretty often. If you place an order online, you can pick up in their store. The best part about that is that you can use coupon codes and save serious money. A few hours ago I bought 2 ball joints at $62+tax a piece. I used a coupon code that saved me $40 on a $100 order. So after tax I paid $45 per ball joint....not a bad deal.

I've never been much of a fan of Auto Zone since the one by me only employs people who know nothing about car parts.

You should look into the online coupon codes at Advance Auto. You'll save some cash and know that that part you need is in stock before you cross the border. I just google for Advance Auto coupon codes there are a lot of different ones out there.
