Re: Launching a boat with the front hitch

Post by JCarroll »

So I had to get the front extension from a local dealership. I haven't had the chance to get the boat out yet but I did have to re-park it in the driveway so I gave the front hitch a try.

I have to admit it was hard on the brain having the boat up front but I found I could pin point exactly where I wanted to put it.

I also read in the owners manual that it (the front hitch) really isn't set up for bigger or heavier loads so I have to wonder with my boat if it really is a good idea or not.

Awesome picture, JCarroll! Love it! I would like to think that the what, 5-10minutes the boat is on the front hitch would be ok. I mean, its not like your going to leave your house in reverse to get to the lake <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... adbang.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':headbang:' />

I have a 12,500lb winch in my front receiver that has been put to a pretty good test a couple weekends ago, moving your boat will be fine.
