I am looking at all options, I have a few oilfield welder buddies who are looking into the cost of materials for me as I know what I want now to just get it designed. That's right on about the lights Brian...will do for sure. When you guys added all the lights did you upgrade your alternator?

Yes I did but probably not needed depending on the draw of the lights and how many of coarse
But due to all the stuff I got going on.Like all 16 lights and subs and traffic advisor bars cell phone booster ect.I have all my lights ran threw relays to.And now soon adding a winch I'm looking into a second batt.

One question that sticks out is how do you attach a home built rack? Do the Gobi racks just use the existing tracks to slide in. Mine did not have the roof mounts rails when I got it so I don't even know what the mounts look like. I see tons on eBay so I'll order a few to butcher up I am guessing. I still might buy a pre made one, just looking at what I want for useable area.

if your coming to the may 12th event take a look at mine and garys or daves. theres 2 diff ways too mount a rack. you can bolt it down to a factory roof rail or your can make up some tabs and install it like a gobi. no roof rails needed.
if you look on the roof there is little tracks on the left and right side gobis rack clamps down to those rails
no need to really buy factory rails
if your still unsure i can post a pic of the tabs on my rack

Geez you guys and the lights... only lights I ever bought were the HIDs and the freakin bulbs melted!! WTF they weren't cheap either
So on that note... the ballasts and things are all OK on my kit so it's still wired up, if anyone can recommend a decent pair of HID bulbs... that'd be good!!!

I thought HID bulbs gave off very little heat compared to standard ones after using a ballast and all.....weird. Here is my new Air Doc parts installed, nice and clean and got rid of that huge chunk of plastic they called an intake tube.
New ....
