Read this -
http://flashoffroad.com/features/Wheels/wheel_use.htm
All the Hummer H1 wheels use a standard 8 bolt x 6.5" pattern found on Chevy and older Ford trucks. This doesn't mean that you can use just any wheel on your Hummer. Wheel load capacity is most important. It would be pretty devastating if a wheel cracked in half as you were driving down the highway at 65mph. A Hummer is much heavier then most trucks, especially loaded with accessories and requires a wheel that can stand up to the weight and off-road abuse. My stock 98 wagon weighs 8000. The factory 2 piece steel wheel is rated at 3,400 pounds. The Cepek 17" aluminum wheel is rated at 4,500 pounds. Most owners don't realize that the stress and strain on the truck is much more on the road due to the speed of the truck. Hitting a bump off the road at 2 or 3 mph is much less stressful than hitting a pothole at 30 mph or the constant punishment of driving at 60+ mph..
The reason the steel has a lower rating is partially due to the fact that a steel wheel can be hammered out to reshape if needed. Aluminum or Alloys can not, and thus have/require a hire rating - twice the load rating the wheels you are contemplating have.

Well, with the wide tire you wanna run, chances are you'll still have rubbing/poke. Also something to consider, and granted this doesnt apply everywhere though I know from experience in Manitoba they watch this closely - any tire tread not covered by the fender, or an aftermarket fender flare/extension can be a ticketable infraction. The Vehicle Insepction Unit of the police dept in Winnipeg LOVE going after guys for this. Check into your local laws for this in advance.

Just found 18" rims 9" width with 25mm offset which gives me 6" of backspace and if I would go with 38/14.5/18 would that be ok?? but rims are rated 2300LB how big of a deal would that be? I'm more then sure that we have guys here running aftermarket wheels on h1

Since our trucks weigh in at 8500# as a base truck, you are pushing the limits of the rim. Try Rock Star rims. Cepek is the only aftermarket rim that has our offset and weight rating that I have seen.

According to the Wheelpros website (
www.wheelpros.com) which is the parent company for XD, KMC, American Racing, etc the Rockstar in a 20x8.5" size comes in a +10, +35, and +50 offset. That said, I would say youre much better off going with a +35 at the very least (putting you at just over a 6" backspace), and likely a +50 would be closest to stock. Now, my business does have an account with them, and I am not trying to poach sales from any sponsors here, nor can I offer out-of-city purchases/shipping, but I do know that wheelpros offers the part number, and youd be best finding a local wheel-shop that deals with Wheelpros directly.
The part number for the +50 offset wheel comes up as "XD77528500350" however, it does not list a bolt pattern. Chances are, the wheel is drilled out to whatever bolt pattern you require, on a per-order basis. These wheels appear to be in stock at one of their warehouses. It looks as though, if you go with the +35 version, the bolt pattern listing is the same, and is likely drilled to order, with a part number of "XD77528500335". These wheels dont appear to be in stock.
Where are you located, and where are you planning on purchasing from?

The wheels I think should be fine with a +35 offset, but dont take that as a promise or guarantee. Maybe ask what some of the guys on the HML have run as far as offsets go, and see what they have to say. There are more H1 owners there.
