That's exactly what I do :-) ... It's on the tray that I can hook up to the hitch. I also bought a battery for it :-) ... Keeping a bull bar in case I ever scratch my OEM bumper ;-)

So far it worked for me... but I was sold when I saw some jeepers and rock crawlers using this summer... I can buy two of those for price of warn or other fancy brand :-)

Arb Bull bar is not hard to remove to service winch. In addition it provides protection from twits with curious hands.
