now both front outer CV are repaired

Repaired as in new boots installed or repaired as in repaired the CV joint itself?

My inner driver's axle boot is leaking - I'm getting tired of replacing them Image

New boots and retaining clips. The joints themselves are fine. I know they are definitely a pain in the butt...we just need to check the clips more often and make sure they are tight! That and maybe stay out of really deep mud!

There are also overboots that we can install...just trying to find where to source some for a small price!

Since I have a bomb proof skid plate...getting to the idler arm upper grease fitting is next to impossible, so I installed this cool kit from MOOG to solve that issue!

Here you can see it bolted nicely to the sway bar link bracket.

Here you can see how it routes up to the upper grease fitting.

I think this mod is Priceless it helps so much!

Here are the uninstalled pics of the Awesome new Indestructible Greaseable Sway Bar Brackets that Roy made me!

I was fed up with the factory junk getting destroyed every time I decided to play in the rocks. I have an unpainted set that I installed for testing purposes but these will be taking there place.

Here you can see the stellar job that Roy did countersinking the mounting holes to prevent any chance of damage to the bolt heads!

Here you can see the cleverly designed way that Roy made the grease fitting hole...very well protected!

Next week the mods will continue, stay tuned!

When I used to work for GM. the HD pickup used to come with heavy gauge canvas boot over both the inner and outer CV joints. This was installed over the rubber CV Boots. They didn't look pretty but you could pretty much never have to worry about damaging your boots! I haven't seen these for a very long time!

I did find something similar at RCV performance;http://www.rcvperformance.com/product-d ... SUM-6562-6

But for that price they can keep them!! I might try and go to a military surplus and try and find some old tent and make a bunch from that!

And yes they do work really well!

btw, take a look at what RCV wants for 2 special front CV shafts...for that price <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... um__no.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':umno:' />

Later,
