[quote name='whitehumh2]I run 37x13.50 R 17 Toyo Open Country M/Ts. they are awesome. I go places the stock tires never allowed. I get better gas mileage with these than the stockers and the ride is smoother too. I do not find them noisy in any way' date=' but that would be in comparison to other mud tires not all terrains. Comapred to other mud tires they are whisper quiet, compared to the highway tires the H2 came with...they emit an acceptable hum!<div> </div><div>At first the do rub at full lock on the sway bar, but now with a cognito motorsports front leveling kit and Sway-a-way torsion bars being installed before this years trails this should no longer be an issue.</div><div> </div><div>Kevin</div>[/QUOTE']
how much lift did you get from the cognito leveling kit? Did you stay with Stock Shocks? And why did you go with Torsion Bars, yours were too bent? I was looking for a new leveling kit for the front end so I have heard good things but would like your direct opinion.
Thanks
Derek

Re: off road tires 05 H2
You should get a solid 3" with the Sway-a-way torsion bars. The reason behind my choice for both products is the following. (I will only be installing the kit near the end of May!)<DIV> </DIV><DIV>Cognito front leveling kit: Increases suspension travel by 3" so now I have more usable travel both to soak up the bumps and allow the suspension to reach down to get the traction on those really difficult trails. It also allows for perfect alignment of the front suspension so tire wear, tie-rod stress, etc, is nil. Another added benefit the upper ball joint is now replaceable without replacing the entire upper control arm, and it already comes with a MOOG lifetime warranty upper ball joint. And it also has two grease nipples at the upper pivot to allow the polyurethane bushings to rotate free and smooth.</DIV><DIV> </DIV><DIV>I plan on using Edelbrock IAS shocks but of the stock length so that part availability is not an issue, so should I break something I can always mount up my stock shocks while I wait for a part. Note: the kit comes with new shock brackets to allow stock shocks to match the newfound travel of the suspension, without overcompressing or extending them beyond their limits.</DIV><DIV> </DIV><DIV>Sway-A-Way Torsion Bars: I will be using these since they have a 20-30% higher spring rate which will eliminate the noise dive under hard braking and offroad it will reduce or eliminate the extra bounce when going over rocks. Also the Torsion Key end of the bar and the Key are splined so fine suspension adjustments can be made to compensate for side to side load differences as well as suspension loads. I plan on mounting a Road Armor Dakar bumper with Atlas 1 guard in the coming months so I need to be able to adjust for the added weight.</DIV><DIV> </DIV><DIV>I'll post a pick of before and after once I have it installed.</DIV><DIV> </DIV><DIV>Kevin</DIV><DIV> </DIV><DIV>PS: As to the Toyos getting better gas mileage, very simple, better overall construction, better roundness, lower rolling resistance all contribute to better mileage.</DIV>

If you get a chance try factory tire in Toronto (martingrove and rexdale blvd). They seem to have good prices. They can get everything even 30"rims for the 2.

Re: off road tires 05 H2
I was talking to a guy today with an H2 and he had the Toyo Op[en Country Tires M/T on the truck, They looked awesome, Very agressive. They were 35x12.5 R17 I think. He said they were alittle noisy but loved them and he goes off road.

Re: off road tires 05 H2
I have a set of Dick Cepeks M&S tires on mine, they provide awsome offroad capabilities and clear the mud and crap from the tires quickly when driving.
