Re: Upcoming HCI events
I simply cannot afford it this year. Even the South Bend event would have been a stretch if it did come together. Bad year for events. I expected to be out every weekend but it did not happen this year. I did manage the FIMS event in new jersey, the Bosma event and the wife and i got away up north so i can't totaly complain. Now the truck is down waiting for a lift pump again. I ordered the Raptor from XPD and now it looks like the UPS plane crashed somewhere. Hopefully won't affect me but i have a feeling!!

I'm working on the trails now. I needed to wait to get an idea of truck count.Greg ,What trails are they running this year? Have you done Blackbear? Trying to get a list ready.
We will be running Black Bear into Telluride, CO. On the trip into Moab for the main event. It's a stunning area at almost 13,000ft. I've actually seen potato chip bags explode because of the elevation.
Some of the Moab trails will be Golden Spike (the whole trail!) and Hells Revenge. I had to apply for a special permit to do the Gates of Hell - and I got it! It's an optional obstacle, but it's wicked cool for that do it or those that just watch.

Just a heads up on Black Bear. It's intense! I've seen people all but lock up on that trail. Driving on the very, very edge of a loose, rocky cliff can put a shark fin in your upholstery!
Hummers are wide, the trail is narrow - it's scary as hell.
If you Google Black Bear Trail crash I'm sure you'll find some unfortunate carnage.
It's not for the timid!
