Roy ,
Just so you know, this site is awesome. I visit often and it 's been a great way for me to meet some great people to wheel with in Alberta.
I hope you can manage to keep it going.
Whatever happens - thank you for the great work you've done and continue to do. You've created something that has reached across our great nation. You've really done something special with this site.
Thank you.
Greg

Re: How to Get the CHC Self Sufficient
Come on guys Kevin (Black Rhino) and myself have promoted CHC to many including the guys at Free Throttle and other clubs.
Also if club loses site and becomes Facebook based you will lose many pro and semi-pro mechanical posts and special offers as when posted they become property of Facebook.
At 15 bucks per member you get help. Ask services charge 35 bucks for an answer ( one uses a gm tech that is a one time winner of Skilled hands on competition I ask a 4 time winner ) and we've posted actual install and minor repair instructions with pics.

Re: How to Get the CHC Self Sufficient
I second that!!
I will stand tall to support in any way. I dont think the Alpha section is a good idea myself. Lets keep it simple, $10 a year... If anyone cant handle that, they arent too serious... Thats 5 timmy's coffee's ( or one star bucks)..
There is no other group like the hummer group...

So +- 600 semi active to active member,, that is a drop
out of the 1200 missing,, many probably dont have HUMMER anymore, one come ti mind is jean Luc ( Victan ) Yellow H3 if im not wrong he sold it a year or two ago.
from the DB can you tell how many member by provinces, I think that the biggest groups is from Ontario and 2nd Alberta maybe.
Quebec, we are not many,i've seen about a dozen,

We've lost a lot of Hummer owners thru many causes. Leaders ,organizers ,and activists , We are also losing many shops that stock Hummer parts even in GM shops ( GM has purged the Hummer brand from its shops ) the CHC may become the only source to know who has what and where. We had a clip break it was only available in one Toronto GM Shop with a 2 week wait (if available ) from US warehouse.
