What should I do Roy?

Sub is right that I can get some movement in idle but stepping on the accelerator doesn't do anything. Could be lack of sufficient fuel pressure to get it going

I bought the anti gel stuff. Will try that.

If you don't take it anywhere to get diagnosed ,I'd start with the fuel pump change/ -and fuel filter while at it, it's an easy job (only issue is I hear mega cold in Ont.)

There both standing jobs ;) so no rolling on the ground.

It's a change where you have piece of mind in the future.

It didn't start this morning. I added the diesel911 solution as Roy advised and it finally started up. I let it run for 25mins but the sluggishness is still present in D or R gears. I've parked it inside to baby it I guess

Should I still do the fuel pump and filter change. I've had the truck for 2 years and haven't done it since I bought it (not sure when it was done)

Well from what understand it's good to change fuel filter every 10 000km, imo keeps thing flowing smooth.

As for the pump, I find them almost a throw away part, imo they do go out quite a bit.

Since it's super easy to change I'd defiantly do both and this way filters clean, and the fuel pump is strong.

You'll feel better knowing there new

Monk is right a Fuel filter should be replaced every 10,000 to 15,000km or at the very minimum at least once a year!

As well, the fuel pumps do fail often enough, many of the newer ones are more reliable but on the older trucks they use the oïl pump pressure switch to turn them on...those fail sometimes as well.

I'll arrange to get the pump and filter changed...just need to find someone who can come out ans do it in Milton. I've got a heated garage...

BTW, would 96 h1 have an oil pump pressure switch? Where is it?

Love this board!!!

, I had no clue oil switch had anything to do with fuel pump, so I read up a bit, basically it's a safety thing, I'd say if you have power to fuel pump when ignition is on, the oil switch should be fine,

But read this article <a class="bbc_url" href="http://www.flashoffroad.com/Diesel/trou ... ump.htm</a>

Talks about your issue
