owning one hummer is enough to make you broke!! HA HA

That suv seat idea is a great idea! I guess I am going to the wreaking yard!!



If anyone hears of any available still let me know!! I would like to have two in the future!

there is suppose to be a great wrecking yard in Grimsby.. not sure of the name..

Will head out to the yard tomorrow and see what is availible. At least the yard I go to I can look myself.Keep you all posted....

I emailed 3 scrap yards about having any bench seats that are 33" wide and none wrote back. May have to actually go to one of these places and look for myself!! I have a friend who is a welder so he can rig up a mounting plate.

Found a Jeep jump seat that has the same dimensions as the hummer one. Picked it up for $80, hope it works! The guy also had the back seats out of an H2 available.

Watch out! I remember reading somewhere that if the bolts used to mount a spare seat are too long (can't remember if it's in the middle or rear location or both) then it is possible to pinch a fuel line (or was it an electrical cable) and get in big trouble.



To the original poster: I have two extra H1 seats. I paid $500 for a frame and cloth seat in 2005 and found a second matching tan leather one a year later for only $300! I need the leather one but I'll sell the cloth one for $300. It has the frame and seat but no quick release pins or bolts. If anyone wants more info just ask.
