Well like I said when I got back in the city I lost oil pressure ...never acted up before ...so took it in and my mechanic thought it was the o-ring on the pick up , it wasn't that . He ran hooked it all up and my engine won't hold oil pressure ....long story short my engine is done ...its getting pulled out thursday and being sent to a local engine shop to be rebuild ...and of course I'm have some performence parts put in ..more Hp and torque ...bad news is with all the front end work I just did and now the engine I won't be able to wheel for a couple months ...can't afford to break anything right now ...cash is tapped

Total downer.... but always look on the bright side as now you can make that 6.0 sing!! Now, is it cheaper to rebuild it or to buy a new engine as I thought the Aluminum blocks couldn't be rebuilt?

Can't wait to see her again!!

So I'm sure we will be doing a run in March.... ride shot gun in the FJ and you can be navigator! You may have to take out the front seat and sit in the back so you can stretch out!..

On that note..... ideas for March?

You guys plan away... I am waiting 3 weeks just for parts to come in!!! Front end is getting overhauled and transfer case hasn't been cracked open yet... transfer case is shifting and driving the vehicle so it's not toast but I think there is damage in there as well!! Gonna be a while before I see the wee Hummer again

Are you getting Ford to do it all? The warranty should be good.... maybe worth a tow to Edmonton?

Yeah a lot of carnage for that run

JL, this is a good opportunity to source a 4:1 transfer case out of an adventure pacakge btw

Yes this was a very expensive run...but it wont stop me from wheeling ...just gonna have to take a small break , as I cant afford to break anything lol ....i should get my rig back end of next week ...not gonna lie , I cant wait till this is all over cause it has been quite stressfull.
