Quick update after Day one...

First trail, I blew my right Half Shaft..no worries..the AM General techs had me up and running in 20 minutes and ready for the 2nd trail ride..now how many of you can say you were repaired by a AM general tech on site at their location, the place where HUMMERS are built!

Anyways the next three trails were insane, at least for my H2 and Markus' H1 was busy pulling out a few H3s.. lots of RAIN and lots of MUD (NORM you would not like it..we got real DIRTY!! ;-) )

Anyways we all had a Blast, I will let Tony and Roy write about their journey as I couldn't run with them.. they went H1 extreme!

Anyways we will post a lot of photos..and get you already for the next journey here as well as signing up maybe for teh AM General Off Road Academy... Tony is already ready in!

ROY and TONY are the FIRST 2 Canadians to also get their H.O.P.E certification, well done..I hope to get mine tomorrow and Markus too..

Anyways lots of FUN, lots of Stories, LOTS OF WATER and MUD.... LOVE IT ALL!

These guys here are great and AM General and THC (the hummer club) put on a GREAT EVENT, i recommend you all try one of these outing if you get a chance, I am glad I didn't miss it!

Will update you tomorrow night after our journey to the DUNES in Michigan! 44 truck convoy in the Morning from here to their!

Great update; sounds like a blast.

Concerning the Hummer Driving Academy, I took the full week course in October of 1999.

Probably saved me a ton of money and time in learning how off-road my truck to the max.

It was a first class high end course all the way.

I recommend it highly.

Anyways I made it home, in one or two pieces.. ;-)

what a blast, when you see Tony tell him to slow down ;-), ask Markus about the Fish in his engine ;-), ask Roy about the Tidal Wave he made right beside Lake Michigan ;-), and me well the stories can go forever, from Half shaft to tail pipe, to my "Greatest Carnage" award!

Great time, a great crew, and the event was done and put on 5 stars all the way!

We will post some photos and tell a few more tales soon enough!

Thanks Roy, Tony and Markus for coming along, you guys were great and I was proud to speak for us there and proud you have you with me..Markus thanks for the pull out when I broke down and for making my Recovery strap all muddy ;-)
