Probably a good thing for me to take a bit of hiatus for a bit <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I am doing race school on the 29th and 30th of May, maybe June 5th?

Yeah, That would work - May 1 for Waiprous, and June for McLean!

Sounds good to me!

uuggg, my truck is spending the night at Shaw... I scheduled an appointment, dropped it off right at 7:00am when they opened... yet they are only just looking at it now. Is this pretty typical? <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ey-013.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wtf:' />

Well at least the customer service has been nothing short of outstanding; I caught a shuttle bus to work, they called me a few times to let me know what was going on and they are renting a car for me to get home with.

No idea what turn around time as Shaw is like but at least they're being good to you. I can't help but think your alternator was a freaky accident as when I popped my hood at the car wash there was a good 1/4" mud coating everything, including the alternator, so I definitely got a healthy dose of mud in there... But no problems with it so far.

Speaking of the car wash........ first time washing a Hummer covered top to bottom in mud and I gotta say, I might be a skinny dude but I never thought the first time I would wish for more muscle was after holding up the damn wash wand for 45 minutes! Sore arms and it's still not clean!!!!

Almost too good <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... on_eek.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Just out of curiousity, has anybody had Shaw void their warranty?

No - but I know they look for excuses! Always use caution with them.

I had a differential seal go on the H2 as I got run off the road and had to plow through an Ice bank as it was pretty solid. Still a warranty item to my research but I actually phoned GM Canada first and explained to them that Shaw is a bunch of professional "Cop-Outs" and she actually put something on the system for me that the seal is definitely a warranty covered item and they are to fix it.

May not have been an issue - but I cover myself now with them as I hate how they try anything to get out of things.

Make sure the T is clean - undercarriage to.... and then if you smell even the slightest bit of hesitation from them... Phone GM Canada and explain you have an almost Brand New H3T and Shaw is giving grief over warranty. Have your VIN number handy.

She was very helpful to me. I just phoned the main line off the internet and asked to speak the the person whom overseas warranty work on vehicles. I can;t remember her name but she was awesome! She seemed even a bit genuinly ticked with Shaw that I felt I had to go this far....

STICK IT TO THEM!!!

Nothing to worry about... I got the call that everything is all fixed up now, it was indeed a faulty alternator <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' />

I have to drive my Traverse mini-van thingy up there around Lunchtime to get it back.

Tommorow I will be heading down to the fab shop... some new tabs are going on the bumper, a giant lemon is going over the RA logo (<img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... oflmao.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rotflmao:' />) and it is going in for a rhino lining. Then the winch... then the lights... should be ready to rock soon!
