Generating Hydrogen on the fly can't really be done that efficiently, at least not yet. The amount of electricity used to create the hydrogen through electrolysis would be more energy than you would get back out of the device. If it actually was generating a substantial amount of hydrogen, you'd actually be getting worse mileage and taxing your electrical system much harder. Not to mention, there is also not really a good way to use the hydrogen in an efficient way, so it is a bit of a double whammie.

There are a few promising technologies like nano filters (more like points), which theoretically can divide the water into smaller molecules with very little energy. The only other way is to chemically produce it, which puts you in the same boat as batteries using huge amounts of toxic chemicals.

Best way to create hydrogen would be on a large scale, then have fuel stations where you can just fill up your car. A little more work needs to be done for cryogenic storage tanks, but the tech behind it is there and it is going to be viable one day.

Swapped out my front and rear diff fluids this weekend, also extended my breather on the rear diff and added an inline filter that I can inspect for debris or water.

I went with a see through filter, also put a low point in the line where it was so I could see if any water or debris gets into the line later on.

Well, here we are on Tuesday night and a sudden sadness came over me today as to when our next run may be.... Popped my new alternator in today.... I simply returned the nappa one and won't use any more of their parts from this point and went with a new line via Bowness auto.

I don't understand why these GM alternators are so fragile. You should literally be able to wash the engine without any issues but it seems like as soon as I get it wet, it konks out. Granted they have been rebuilt ones but the cost of a new one through shaw wasn't even on the table...

So we'll see how this one does. It has a 2 year warranty and u know, I can swap it out in under 4 minutes! Tells ya how often I have done it!

Any thoughts.....

thats crazy

i go threw an alt a year but i love the fact i can just pull this one out and go back to napa.

i dont no why you go threw those like i do. you dont have nearly enough power demand in the truck. and as far as getting wet i got my soaked last run and on 4 occasions my volts dropped to like 10v but as soon as the belt is half dry she charges again
