Good times had by all.... although yet again we missed getting to the falls <img src='

Still can't believe that Toyota guy wandered as far as he did in over 3 foot snow... all I could see when I went out to rescue him is his skid pan on the top of the snow (which probably helped initially). I knew I was going to get stuck as soon as I had to turn around... not that I was getting a lot of traction to pull him out anyway. I think I am just going to trim my winch cable down to 50' instead of replacing it for now... then if it bunches up again, replace it with synthetic rope.
Also Gary, I have your vid file... it is 1.09G in size. I have no idea how to send it to you, I highly doubt I can e-mail a file that big.

No falls again..... But I was not expecting that much snow out there.... It kept getting deeper the farther in we went!
A lot of fun though! Still can't believe Toyota guy.... He would have been screwed if we didn't come along! And I still can't believe you went charging down that hill, I knew there was no way you were getting back up without assistance.... I would have put 4 straps together if I had to instead of going down there....
Goes to show you the value of having a winch! I think I will do the cradle thing for now until I can afford the new bumper, or until I find a good deal with a fabricator for a custom mount....

I went down there knowing I'd likely have to get the winch out, however in the off chance I could have gotten the Toyota back onto the trail I could have taken a run at in reverse and probably made it back up.
I'd like to have more rigging gear for my winch in the future though, that freaking sucked balls when it wound itself tight on one side and wrecked the cable.

That looked like a good time!
Hey, the more snow - the better.
I'm hoping for a snowy April.

It was a lot of fun.... I'm starting to agree with Greg in that it's more fun to play in the snow! Snow doesn't brake nearly as many things as mud....
Got my new winch today.... What a beauty but holy crap is this heavy.... Definitely Gunnar swap out the cable for synthetic...
