My mechanical gas peddle is seized a bit so Roy's gonna help free it up.

Then odds and ends, pop the hood back on.

MY non lift assit hood that is :( hehe

But yes now see it, lol before, the labour seemed over whelming at first glance.

Truck was finished with the motor today, :)

Soooooo, on my way home literally like 60-70km from my new motor, on hwy# 6 south, a truck crosses lanes head on to me, (he lost his front tire)

Hit the side of my truck as I steered hard to the right,, took out my driver mirror, door , rocker panel gard, back quarter , bumper to.

Was the hardest I've ever been hit ,ever,..hit so hard I was sideways sliding a bit,....and corrected myself,,,,thank gawd....

Have to see what happen now tomorrow ,

Oh that just sucks Monk. Sure glad you are ok man. Looks like she's getting some new paint and a few new panels too. Hope that guy has good insurance as the door and the rocker guards are pricey. I replaced these things a couple years ago. The rear quarters and bumper were available through HPG Dave back then as well.

He must have really hit you hard as a 50-60 kph T-bone from a Mercedes SUV barely damaged my drivers door. It didn't even break the glass and opened and closed fine. The rocker cover pretty much took the brunt of it and his hood ran up my door as it peeled back and crumpled up.

Again... glad you are ok and hopefully you will be back on the road with your new engine and LH side replaced real quick.

Yes, totally ok health wise ( sore but nothing broken), my wheel is in an angle a little now, back DS tire as a HUGE 4" hole in the side, lol even the bumpers peeled back, we were going min 80km each way, even my driver side brake signal popped out, sheesh...

The frame behind the a-arm has a 6" long crack(rip)

I'm sure here is more, but man, was mostly in shock for a bit,..

His truck pretty well disintegrated on the front and side...

We'll see, I hope they don't write it off, lol had feeling for her,..heehhe

Wow shitty news dude! Make sure you push your weight around with the insurance copy. They will wnat to do the minimum. If they right it off make sure you can buy it back!!! Some say they don't do that but you can make that in the deal when you finish and sign off. Let me know if you need anything i can help with.

Thanks guys I will keep you all posted, shockingly I forgot I have a dashcam video of what happened.

It's not the best quality as I got a cheap camcorder but you can definitely see the headlights coming right at me head on

Once i figure that part out, ill post it well at least that clip.

I tried once on this form but it did not work so I might have to figure out how to YouTube it

I haven’t been on the forum in a while and just read this now. How terrible to get hit like that. I hope you are OK by now since a few weeks have passed! Are you going to be able to get you truck fixed up or was there too much damage?
