Hello Everyone,

The Canadian Hummer Club held its largest ever Meet & Greet Event at Landmark Aviation in Mississauga, on May 24. I am happy to say the Event was a success, with attendance close to 100 people and over 42 Trucks.  We had a good assortment of H1s, H2s, and H3s which included some Stock, some Off-Road, some Bling, and even a few Street Princesses. We were happy see Kevin and Tony, along with their families, all the way from Montreal... a long trip for just the afternoon. As well as others who came from all over Ontario, what a great way to support our Club!

It was nice to see lot of new faces, and some old ones too (not in age ). With pleasure, we signed some new members in joining CHC, and we had a great time. It was 24 degrees and Markus burnt his head. We will be sure to do this again in the near future, as we continue to grow each time in membership.

CHC is pleased to announce we met our fundraising goal and provided Lupus with just under $3000.00 including donations.  We gave away an estimated 70 items, raffled off another 87 items, and Tony TC walked away with the 50/50 Cash.  I hear there was even fudge, although most seemed to pass me by.

Amazing to see?

? Ron?s Hydrogen Powered H2?very cool, make sure you contact him and his business partner Terry for more details?

? Brady?s great looking Monster International Truck.. Although it?s NOT a HUMMER it just may have been the hit of the show.

? The Burgundy H2, not sure who?s it was (sorry), but it was a Duramax Diesel, I want to know more about this?;-)

? Kevin?s, WhiteHumH2, all the way from Montreal and having the underbody protection of a TANK!

? White H2 that was lifted compared to the Blinged White H2, Night and DAY

? The White Ford Tempo that just wouldn?t die, even with Markus and Roy doing their very best to beat it down..

My son told his grade 2 class the HUMMER Club is so cool?they ripped apart a Ferrari (he meant to say Ford)

Some funny stuff

? Mike, from Landmark Aviation, won all 3 Varsity Jackets, but traded to get some different items.

? Brady, BRADY, won the team signed Pistons Shirt who gave it to Matt, who had been dying for it all day. Hope to see Matt again; it was fun bugging him all day about this.

? Tony, T.C, had the longest roll of raffle tickets I have ever seen, but even with all of those, I still think that Jenna, Roy?s daughter, kicked his butt in Prizes,

? Ron, Shotgun-cam, and winning 4 pair of Speakers?what kind of luck is that, he only has a H3, how many darn speakers do you really need??

? The Odyssey Putter that was traded from Kevin, for a Bell Varsity Jacket from Mike, then Kevin traded it with Roy to get the Silverware set for Kevin?s Mom?WOW, let?s make a deal or what, where was Monty Hall??

? Roy, ROYS, and his family who must have rented a U-Haul to carry all their items home.

? Tony, T.C, wins the 50/50; I guess he needed gas money to get back to Montreal?.

? Mike won the Poker Machine and gave it to Anthony. Thanks for that, my 7 year old has been kicking my butt in poker ever since.

Many thanks to everyone who helped make this event possible.  Most of you came through in very short notice. Without you, we wouldn?t have been able to pull this off and make it a success.

? Norm, njlondon for being as cordial as we have come to expect, and for having all the name tags printed and signing in some new members.

? Blair, regalassassin, and Rob, Little Guy, for all their help at greeting the trucks and guests as they came into the lot!!

? Ron, The Entertainer, for volunteering his time last minute to DJ for us and bring us some great music, and some fun conversation. Again, nice truck.

? Zoel and Ginette, guccilulu, for ticket sales and for being the first one there and one of the last to leave.

? Blake, Roy, ROYS, and Tony, T.C, for cooking up some interesting food and a special thanks to Tony, for helping me get a new BBQ after setting mine on fire.

? Jon, jayssut, Ginette, Alfred and Anthony for helping with set-up and tear-down of the event.

? Julie for all the help with planning and last minute details, and to our son Anthony especially for being Blake?s second in command at the Food table.

? Thanks to all our other CHC Volunteers and Friends who gave their time.

I?d like to publicly thank Markus, Boeing Jet, for all his efforts in providing the facility, and the lot to give the CHC a place to hold this event, as well as all the leg work to get the sponsors to donate so many great items for the auction and giveaways. Without Markus? personal relationships with the various sports teams, we would not have had any of that, as many teams donate locally and don?t generally do so outside their own cities.

Last but Not least... A BIG thanks to our Sponsors for all their generous donations?

I hope everyone enjoyed themselves, I know I did. For those of you who couldn?t make it we have multiple events coming up, next one being  Trail Ride in Quebec, or Ribfest in Niagara Falls, hope to see you there.

We are a very elite group, and not everyone out there understands a HUMMER owner and what we do, or why we do it. So, let?s continue to keep looking out for one another.
