Kevin,

You seriously put CTIS on an H2? Was it hard to do....pictures and a step by step would be great!

Hard to do?

I would have thought it was impossible, without portal axles.

Hi All,

Anyone who is interested in coming trail riding in the Ottawa area please feel welcome to attend on Saturday 17 April at 10:00 AM. I will post maps and video of the area this evening. You can arrive later. I will provide you with my cell phone number and we use channel 4 on the CB.

To give you an overview of the trails there are a variety of different kinds of trails in the area. The first area is called the Pit. There are a series of hills with grades going up to 45 degrees. This area is accessible to all different levels of drivers and vehicles as it is an open area where there are a variety of different routes that can be chosen. The pit is usually very dry. It is an excellent place to explore and learn what your truck can do. The nice thing about the pit is that the entire area can be seen from the high point where everyone congregates (tailgates).

In addition to the pit there are a series of trails through the forest with many water crossings of about 12”. These trails are fairly tame for Hummers. Also there are some trails that lead through muddy areas under the power lines. This is my favourite area. The muddy areas are a bit challenging, I have an H2 with stock tires and no lift with the running boards removed, and I am able to negotiate it and often help to extract some other drivers.

These trails are used by all makes of vehicles, unfortunately I am the only HUMMER that goes to this area. On the 17th, I would expect several jeeps, and trucks to be present.

I hope to see a few of you come out. If any of you are planning on staying overnight, there is also the possibility of visiting Quinn Trail on Sunday. This trail was the only Canadian trail featured in the BF Goodrich Tires Outstanding Trails Program, and is also covered in an article in Truck Trend. The area is beautiful! This trail is more challenging because it does involve going up and down some hills over exposed bedrock. I am looking forward to exploring more of this area.

Please let me know if you are interested in joining us on the 17th or the 18th and what time you expect to be arriving. My wife and I look forward to meeting you,

Sean Hunter
