Comparison.....
Lets see...
It all depends if you are in the drivers seat or passenger seat. But some general observations.
H2 is twice as fast as the H1, even going down hill.
The H2 tows loads twice as good as the H1
The H2 uses twice as much fuel as the H1
The H2 holds almost twice as many people as the H1
The H2 has twice as much room in the front passenger seat, especially on the first H1's
The H2 is twice as comfortable as the H1 on the highway
I guess thats why they named it the H2
So what are some other comparisons?
Suspension components on the H1 are twice as heavy as the H2 (they still wear out every 30,000 miles though)
The H1 has ctis - so that you can pump them up before driving after letting the truck sit for a few weeks ... from the comfort of the drivers seat (after they have gone flat from ctis leaks).
You can easily crawl under the H1to see where the oil is leaking from - not so for the H2, at least not for me, theres not enough ground clerance.
The H1 has steel drive line components, the H2 has some aluminum parts
Even 2 jeeps can't pull out a stuck H1 (dunville 2006), Don't know about the H2 in the regard, maybe its the same.
The H1 roofs (on the non soft top versions) rust at the seams, whereas the H2 just rusts everywhere
The H1 often gets a thumb, whereas the H2 often gets a finger.
You can look down from the H2 seats and see the H1 below when both are stopped at a stoplight
The h2 was so popular that they made then in two different countries and sold 100,00's of thousands. The H1 is made in onc factory and they sold around 10,000.
You can get an H1 to use for free by signing up with the US army - not so for the H2.
And finally, you can see sam's truck from the space station with all its chrome, You can't see my green H1 from 20 ft away in the bush.
FYI - I have both H1 and H2....
