Re: Alberta October Trail Ride
Do they use good quality parts?
Nappa has a pair and I would like to get it fixed today so I'll head out to Airdrie to pick them up so I can get her off the jacks... she's mad at me right now...
But I'll check them out though...

Re: Alberta October Trail Ride
She lives!!!! SHE LIVES!!!!!
I freakin hope this is the last time I have to redo my brakes.... But it was definitely nothing as a result of me.... Those Calipres from Bowness Auto were a joke! So I machined the rotors myself as I took them to a garage and they said they were ok - so more just to make me happy.. sanded them back to a nice machined face and installed the new new calipres and pads.
So I guess I can;t say the Wagner Thermo quiet pads are crap as I think it was more the calipres - but I still think they could have been better. Went with OEN quality Raybestos pads and hopefully done now...

Sounds like a bit of a nightmare with those calipers, I can't believe they fell apart!
Raybestos pads are good, you should be happy with those.

Re: Alberta October Trail Ride
My luck - mine will be the one that slides into a tree!! Lol...
Brakes seem perfectly fine now so hopefully that is squared away now... Just waiting for the wife to get home as I have the rear protective cage (For lack of better words as not sure what it's actually called...) off and I tried jumping on it to bend it back and man, I can't even budge it!! 275 lbs coming down on the centre bar and I can't even get a bounce!
So gunna drive on it with the Honda with it propped against the curb and hopefully I can bend it back one bar at a time that way... strong son of a gun!
Update - Gawd, the honda didn't even bend it. Had to take her off the ramps and use the Humma one bar at a time and worked like a jiffy.... may have overdone it - but now I have eben more clearance so for the good in the end...

Re: Alberta October Trail Ride
One note; the trail up to the Falls is closed until October 31st right now, I think they shut down the river crossing due to fish runs for the moment.

Re: Alberta October Trail Ride
Bowness Auto gave me a full refund so that's kewl! I like them again but will stay away from their remanufactured line though....
So a week and a half left until the 23rd... getting excited! Looking forward to seeing Gaza's mods.... I may have to ride Bitch on one of the steep hills to see how she does now.... with front and rear ARB airlockers, and with the lower gears - she'll probably coast up the steep hills!
