Dave, can you pick me up 2L or so of Amsoil Manual Synchromesh Transmission Fluid 5W-30, I can come and grab it from you and pay you however much one evening this week.
Ahhh, crap... maybe hold on that. All kinds of confusing bulletins out there on what to use in the transfer case.

Just as an FYI... My brother in law Kevin Brugos whom you know from your job, is a rep or knows a rep for Amsoil...might be worth talking to him.

Thanks, I might bug him about it later on. I actually don't work at IMV anymore.
For 2L of fluid though I will just get Dave to grab it for me for his almost-as-low discount as mine at Bowness <img src='

Got the seal all changed out today, was a pretty quick and inexpensive procedure.
Yank the driveshaft,
Pop out the old seal, put in a new one: you can see how much it was leaking by the spray on the floor of the cab.

I just got back from a month vacationing in SE Asia... Hong Kong, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand,, Singapore and Japan - and now back to wheeling!
Gaza, what happened to your truck (rear diff) the last time out? I'm always curious as what breaks so I can learn something. I still suspect that a bolt lossened in the diff. I didn't see anything you did from the drivers seat that would have caused the failure - and the terrain wasn't that bad.... I just don't know. Maybe it was the terrain and somewthing just got caught a little wrong. You never know.
Do you know what the problem was?

That may very well be what happened Greg , there was a bolt wedged inside the locker but its hard to say if thats what caused it to grenade like it did and I dont think Ill ever really know exactly what happened . Having to be pulled out of the park just destroyed everything inside that diff ..everything pulled out of there was damaged. I have some cell phone pics of all the carnage but there not very good ...my mechanic took a bunch of pics so when I get those Ill post some pics.

When filling the transfer case Nick make sure to triple check whether it takes Dex-III or Dev-VI... Dex-VI is not a suitable replacement for Dex-III when the application is a transfer case!
I just recall some confusion when I did the H2 and for mine it was Dex-III - Regular Amsoil ATF is a dex-III so would work depending what you need...

Negative on the Dex3, owners manual is calling for Dextron VI. So I need an equivalent
Getting close to just running to Canadian Tire and picking up some Mobile 1 ATF

Cool dude then yeah like you said earlier, their Fuel Efficient ATF should be the ticket... Redline D6 ATF would also do the trick and should be in stock at Mopac! Open till 5:30 weeknights...

For the time being I just want to get it replaced so I can go out this weekend. I went over to CT before they closed tonight and picked up some Mobile1 Dextron-VI certified ATF and a hand pump.

I was wondering why you have been so quiet lately! Sounds like a hell of a trip, all fun or was it business as well?
I am actually heading over to Beijing in a few months for up to a year for work, trying to cram some Chinese lessons in right now, lol.
