The other good thing about an H2 purchase is we often drive 2 - 3 hours north for appointments in bad winter weather and at night....I'd feel much more confident in an H2 than anything else.

Driving my H2 on the original showroom BFG A/T tires with about 80,000 km on them my truck was amazing in the snow. Confidently did 80 - 100 km/h on the highway which was completely covered in snow and many other vehicles were pulling off to the side and stopping. The AWD was sufficient for most of the drive and I switched to 4WD hi-lock when the snow was deeper (and, obviously adjusted my speed accordingly).

I cannot say enough good things about the H2. I love mine and it will take something that is currently not on the market to pry it from my hands.

Rhino is an 08 first build H3 Alpha he has plowed thorough snow banks and forded flooded streets that stalled much biggger fire support units. He had an issue with Front diffs and Transfer cases (they blow up together ). GM corrected the problem and Rhino is now over 122,000 kms riding on 35 inch tires (with leveling kit

Not yet... Will have the cash next week!

I'm actually starting to lean towards an H3. I drove a 2003 H2 that was in decent shape but with gas prices as they are and my job as an RESP sales guy I think the H3 makes more sense for me. Expecting to make a purchase next week.

I'm thinking I will stay away from the 2006 model year H3 due to the engine issues and bugs with that year....so I'm looking at 2007 and up.
