Hi Crebbin,

Thanks for the info! I will keep this in mind!

I am aware of the #8 problem!

I read everything about Hummers so I'll be ready when I have one!

Hello, I would say that you are welcome to come and test drive mine, but as I can see you are not interested in the gas model, so I am not sure if you would be interested or not, I prefer not to get into debates about the subject, as I did my own research and made my own decision, for my own reasons and intentions, but I have a hard time hearing people say that they do not want gas, but I guess to some the appeal of noisy, slow and expensive, out weighs quiet, fast and cheap!? Okay, I'm just kidding (not totally) so all you guys out there with deisels,  you can hold off on all the hate mail, it goes without saying. but I will, that the proof is in the pudding, and maybe some day a deisel will swap with me for a while out on the trails then I will know the difference, but untill that happens, all I can say is that I have been more than happy with the performance of the gas model and enjoy the fact that they make up less than 5% of an allready quite rare breed! Like I said, if you are still looking to buy an H1, mine is for sale and you are welcome to come and check it out, I am in Kingston and will be going to Ottawa soon, after my safety and e-test's are completed, so I will try to remember to let you know and maybe we could meet up somewhere out there, as I am sure , like always, you can always find a trail somewhere if you look hard enough, the other thing I like to say is that with these trucks if you can not find a trail, well then you just have to make yourself a new one!

Hi ucana422,

Hummm, I haven't done many research on the H1 gas model... but I guess the major down point is the gaz consumtion of the gaz model......

Just out of curiosity, what's the MPG (L/100) you can get with the gas model?

Best regards,

Pier

A gas H1 is not all bad, yes it is quieter, yes it is way easier and cheaper to repair and yes it has alot of potential. The best thing to do  is either swap out the 350 for a real engine like a 383 or 427 or 502 or the mother of all engines the 572!!! AM General realized that the 350 wasn't good enough and actually converted several Gas H1s to the 502, which was far more capable to carry around the weight of the H1. The other alternative would be to super charge it. Either way though you will have a far better H1 than stock and have much better gas mileage, probably close to a diesel but a modified TD will far surpass you on every account! Just ask Roys or TC!
