I hardly use my lockers at all up front, maybe just 5 minutes twice a year... I probably haven't engaged it since I did that rock climb in Mclean last October.
Where I think the problems start have been when I am going up a steep hill or through something that pinches the tires against the truck movement... it binds and loosens the chain. Probably saves my CV, but after that the chain starts to skip here and there.... this past weekend it was really loud when I applied some power for a climb. I was even off the gas and the residual power was enough to make it slip repeatedly for about 3 seconds.
