Washboards can be bad. if you hit them perfectly, and they are perfectly spaced you can hit the natural frequency of different components in the car and all hell can break loose, from complete loss of steering to doors blowing off. Now I know this sounds perhaps a little far fetched but when I worked for one of the big 3 I was out doing some work at the proving grounds test track. They had a section with precision bump strips on in spaced evenly apart. The speed at which you drove corresponded to a specific natural frequency. There was a speed limit as they knew that above a certain point there would be total loss of control of the vehicle. Several crashes were had over the years. But it is crazy what happens, at certain frequencies. You can literally blow a door right off the side of the car, interior trim pop off, head liners fall down, electronics not work, blow shocks, etc. That's why it's part of the initial testing, and durability testing.

After 4 days of waiting I finally got word from.GM that they were going to start by removing the airbag sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) & overnight it to GM engineers to pick apart and undoubtedly blame it on my driving or some other nonsense to cover their backside.
I seen a doctor on Monday & he checked me out, said I was fine just a mild concussion and some neck pain but nothing to worry about.
So far I've found 7-8 different threads from different posters on different forums of having the same issue. From offroading, rough roads and a few just driving in stop and go traffic. Most GM put their tail between their legs and said the equipment worked in spec. and weren't at fault and the owners had to cover it. I'm looking at $3,500 in parts broken needing replaced, that's JUST PARTS not labour or installation.
Anybody want to be a quad to help a brother out? Fml

Have you made a call to consumer and corporate affairs to see if this has been a reported issue?

Where do you want to go? I heard that the Falls trail is open and not too bad. We could go in directly to 4 corners and then head out from there.

Someone at GM must be in a really good mood, I just got word this afternoon that GM will be covering the repairs to my truck!
Now to wait for parts to be ordered and received, then to see of the local mechanic monkeys put it back together.
