I was thinking about getting a permit to cut down a real x-mas tree this year, not sure if anybody wants to do the same and make a day of it?

I'm too emotionally attached to trees to kill one..... But I'll make a day of it though!!

Yep, separate event... unless somebody wants to see me to run out and cut a tree down before officer short-stuff comes after me, haha.

Actually I have warmed up to this....


Saturday the 7th would work best for timing? Where do you get the permits?

I am not sure where to get the permit, I just always see the CT4WD guys doing an x-mas tree run every year and I always think what a cool idea it is

I might have some friends coming into town that I will drag out with me, let me find out the timing before I put pen to paper... er... I mean fingers to keyboards

What about bugs?

We used to get real trees out of the woods as a kid, basically you keep it in the garage for a few days so the bugs depart.. Ruffle it up a few times, usually not too many bugs this time of year
