Re: The ALBERTA chat thread!
I have been flat out the last two weeks, I haven't looked into it yet. going to start asking around now.
EDIT: Found permits
<a href="http://srd.alberta.ca/FormsOnlineServic ... ng.aspx</a>
Any idea how near or far you want to go? There is a X-mas tree cutting area on this map down highway 68, just before powder face trail.
<a href="http://srd.alberta.ca/FormsOnlineServic ... 012.pdf</a>
Or we could go up North, just West of Caroline. That is where RMLRC and CT4WD guys go for their x-mas tree runs.

Re: The ALBERTA chat thread!
Just another thought; the gates to powderface trail close Dec 1st.... just so happens that Nov 30th is a Saturday.
We could do our annual holiday run by starting at Cochrane, going up to highway 1, then coming through all of powderface and having something to eat in Bragg Creek after

Re: The ALBERTA chat thread!
I'm still here, I'd be in for this run but work is finally picking up and can't get time away. Not to mention that it's a 6-7 hr drive for me to get down there, I'd LOVE to get down there for a snow/winter run but this close to the holidays I can't really justify a $1,000 weekend, provided I don't break anything. I'm still working on trying to get myself moved back down to that part of the country it's just taking A LOT more time than I had anticipated.
