Ok so here's a question for you guys... how far from the meeting area are the trails? I've never been to McLean before!!
That sucks about the H2 Dave!!!!!!! I hope you don't have to go through the same fiasco as me and that frickin shifter cable for the part!!!!!!

It is maybe 15 to 20 minutes of drive time to the Mclean area from Bragg Creek, so not far.
Hey JL... you should see if you can get that shifter cable part from that H3 Hummer being parted out.

Haha, believe me I was all over that the day I saw it!! They only want $50 for it which is a steal, plus I'm getting a trim piece for the windshield that Dave pointed out was missing!!! I was trying to think of anything else I can get off that H3, but mine is running so good anything else would just be a waste!

OH MY GAD!!!!!!! It has now been a full week without my Hummer...... feels like my manhood is slowly slipping away!
Hopefully the part will be in tomorrow. I was assured that this is something that is normally very well sealed so a real fluke! First time they've ever had to replace one according to them. I still want them to show me where this thing is located as I'd rather be safer than sorry amd see if there is any "beefing" up I can do...
Looking forward to the 5th - only a week and a half left!

I can sympathize with you as when I broke my front differential I had to wait almost 60 days to get my BABY back from the mechanic.

Know what you could probably do... get some good thick grease and seal up the electrical connections and maybe run some silicone around anything you don't think the grease can protect. In theory it should be pretty easy to seal it up! I wish I had a part lookup as I'd bet the Yukons, Escalades and other big Chevs with the big 6.2 probably use the same part.. might be able to find one off another vehicle instead of waiting for brand new... But it's a mystery!!
Those guys with the wrecked H3 tend to be pretty slow checking the emails... They're there though and selling parts off the thing, I can at least assure you that!!
