Re: August Alberta Run
Hopefully get my Humma back today - been at E-Mortal since Monday finalizing the exhaust.... I'm on Humma withdrawl.....
So the forecast has comepletely changed since yesterday (surprise surprise) dry until next week now and cloudy on Saturday.... so mudholes may be a little thick but should be a good run!

Re: August Alberta Run
Took a look at the breather off the rear diff today, noticed I have another fluid leak of some kind. Looks like the output seal on the transfer case is leaking. It is moist and a few hanging drips of what looks like red oil are hanging off the bottom. It doesn't look like it needs immediate attention so I should be ok for this weekend, but I will be taking it very easy.
The breather itself has a nifty little cap on it, I think it will be fine as long as I don't spend a lot of time in the water.

Re: August Alberta Run
Same here!!
When I picked up my Hummer today from E-Mortal - Will noticed a leak on the front diff. small leak but I do not like any leak of any kind....... I'm sure that they think I am an asshole as my usual girl wasn;t there at SHAW, sp I asked the Advisor to bring out his senior tech to have a look and verify that it is the diff leaking and not an ECM, or a puncture in the break line causing fluid to spray at a 65 degree incline landing on an air hose causing said fluid to run down to the engine block which is drip dry giving no trace of it running down said block onto the differential in the same fashion as if it was the differential seal which is of course covered where as the break line is a normal wear and tear issue....
Anyways he acknowledged it was a differential leak so I had the tech confirm that on the work order and to not plug it in for any reason so they could find some other "electrical" reason for a differential leak....
Man..... you'd think i didn;t trust them.....

Re: August Alberta Run
haha, I was talking to my old man about it and he said back in the day he had picked up a brand new K5 Blazer to off-road... pretty much the exact same type of shit I am going through now. Everything kept breaking on it, constantly in the shop getting serviced.
He said if the seals aren't leaking, it probably isn't a GM, lol

Re: August Alberta Run
That sucks dude, I will try to take lots of pics of the run.
Ferdy isn't able to make it out either, he has some faimily coming into town and his wife gave him an earful about helping out around the house.
I might have two Jeeps coming out with me tomorrow, not sure though. They are either going to tag along with us or head up to Mclean. I was supposed to get a call tonight, but I have not heard from them so who knows.
I have my truck all packed up, she is ready to rock for tomorrow! I have a pretty swanky X-Jack I got from Tony to try out too, he said if I can get a nice picture of me using it he will feature the truck on his new website; www.arbcanada.com
