Since 2001 I do a Moab trip at least once a year. I organize the Moab event for the Hummer Club Inc.every September. It's their keystone event.
This year I've made the theme a Zombie Hunt!
We'll be wheeling for a couple of days in the high Rockies in Colorado (13,000'!), the wicked terrain in Aztec New Mexico then 5 days wheeling in Moab.
Durango, Colorado, Aztec, New Mexico and Moab Utah are all pretty close to each other but the terrain is wildly different. There's a reason this is THE hummer event to attend.
I think we have 5 trucks just from Alberta going. There are some really cool guys in Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba and BC that come from time to time too. Lots of Canadians!
With driving time there and back, and all the wheeling it's a 2 week trip for me. That includes a few days of pre-running the trails with my trail leaders.
With the Zombie Hunt theme the swag this year is incredible. It's way cool.
Damn - I can hardly wait!
