So I finally picked it up today... the package was pretty beaten up on the outside; inside it has a nice thick layer of dust and dirt. To be honest it looks like it had a former life as a display model.
First thing I noticed was the price tag on the outside of the box for $284.95, gee thanks National 4WD for charging me $340.00. <img src='
http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /angry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='>:(' /> The final slap in the face after waiting over a month.
The good news is I tested it out and it does work, really that is the big thing. As for National 4wd, well lesson learned. That was the first time I have done business with them, it will also be the last.
Anyway, here are the pictures;

I don't mind, I don't plan to take any action against them though.
Just kind of pissed off at the price, the wait time and how a "new" out of the box compressor is covered with dirt and dust. If I had to guess they shipped me a display model when they realized my compressor was on back order.
I brought out the SLR for some additional up close pictures:
This is a picture of another price tag... beside what I paid, and when. I ordered it on Dec 19th, was told it would be in the following week and I got it January 27th.

The next couple of photos are taken of the inside, my finger makes an appearance to show just how much dirt has accumulated.

The lid accumulated the most dust on the back, leading me to believe this unit was sitting around open somewhere for a very long time.

The prices are CAD$... I paid another 17$ in tax on top of that.
After they couldn't get it from their supplier they said it was shipped from another one of their stores in Canada which had it in stock. I am assuming the price on the box is CAD$ as well for that reason; my guess is it was an "open box" item which they were selling for a discounted price.

I agree with you on that ...unless it came from a USA store then that price is in US$$$$......there is a 6% duty on parts made in Australia(customs) apart form the canadian taxes
