Hey guys, it's been too long since I last checked in, but I just finished moving to Calgary and would love to get out with you guys and wheel.
As long as the wheelin' trip doesn't land on Thanks Giving weekend I'll be able to make it!
I am hoping to switch out my 37/12.5r20 A/T's or 37/12.5r16 M/T's soon and test out the new bead locks.... But got to decided on what Interco tire to run, the M16's or Trxus m/t......
I digress, let's go wheelin'

October 18th? How does that work for everybody?
Also, anybody found MUR's radios around? My FRS ones are acting up and it is probably time to replace them
EDIT: Never mind, apparently it was canned:

EDIT2: Hilariously you can buy them online and even on Amazon.ca as nobody pays attention to these bulletins
EDIT3:
Ok, thinking to buy some of these. While i like the Motorola's they are closer to 300$.. these are 72$ (+ shipping) and it looks like no restrictions on shipping to Canada. I think most of the industry guys were moved off these channels years ago, so we shouldn't have any issues using them. Anybody want one? The shipping costs starts at 30$, but for 5 it is only 41$... so there is some savings to be had if we order together:

This is true, but I don't know how much they cost or what frequency they use
I've been seriously considering getting my amateur operators license so I can use some more serious equipment

Be nice if there was a base unit that covered everything.... Vhf/frs/cb/ham etc etc...
One day...

The one I have in the H1 now is the ICOM IC-706MKIIG, this covers from 0.030MHz to 470 MHz in USB, LSB, CW, RTTY (FSK), AM, FM, WFM modes. So it covers all the things you listed Dave.
Will cover the frequencies Greg's radios use, provided they are not outside of the frequency range above, I've used it for the FRS stuff (462.5625 MHz - 467.7125 MHz), haven't figured out how to transmit properly for FRS frequencies yet because of the CTCSS tone which sets the "privacy" channels, but I think I have figured it out, however it picks them up just fine.
