Yeah that was nasty last night!!!! there is a good inch on the ground which may be cool as wet snow can be fun to play in with a 4X4... will definitely air down this time...

JL - can't wait to see the beasty - I'll have my H3 there as well for one last run before she goes bye bye.... let me know on the tires too if you got a deal as I will be getting those pretty quick. I did find a better deal on the tires than Nicks guy. I'm just trying to see if I can find new coil springs instead of putting in a spacer but doesn't look like it unless I buy the entire lift kit which I dunna wanna do...

Nick - I found a guy which I will post later that is a wholesaler so I am looking at a set of Nitto Mud Graplers which I hear are the cat's meow out there for $1765!!!!! Holly crap that's good - almost American pricing so I'll post later once I have that finalized. But his Toyo prices are a bit higher on the Toyo's but I just remember I was getting quotes on the 38's so I'll check his price on the 37's....

Also never heard of Gary Fort... just check the rating and stay under 75%....

Other than that - looking forward to tomorrow.... who knows - may still be bone dry in Waiprous!! But I hope not!

Man I got shackles to spare (just plain ones though Image)!! I could get like three guys towing me all day long!! (But I won't!!!!!)

I paid the same price as Nick for the Toyos, but that was 'employee' pricing and I doubt I'd be able to help get anyone else the same price... I'd be happy to check though if you feel like coming to Cochrane. But since you found a better deal then that's gotta be the way to go!!

Not much snow in Cochrane, it's probably all melted by now... But I would definitely get a pink shackle, if only for a larf!

I assume you mean Fort Garry rather than Garry Fort; that's where I got my heavy shackles from. They are a truck supplier so they usually have the heaviest gear available (just in case you want the 120,000 lb tow strap). The don't spend a lot of money making the stores look pretty but you should be fine on the banjo front.

One thing to keep in mind is weather you want a tow strap or a recovery strap... they look almost identical but function very differently. I prefer the stretch you get in a recovery strap as I don't have the patience to ease someone out of a mud hole. Maybe that's why I'm always breaking things.

I will see what I can see there, I am mostly scavanging for deals.

Ideally I am trying to find some 25,000+ lb straps for 40$ or less.

My compressor is only good for up to 35" tires... so it will likely max out around 30psi on your tires. You could use it to air up to that level and then get yourself back into Winks for some free air in Cochrane.
