Hey Roy how are ya

everything went well had to swap out the tailstock in order to reuse the elctrical speed sensor

and only one of the selector switched could be used you dont need them they just ligth up and indicator on dash

as for for the speed sensor had too remove tone wheel on shaft that gives the signal

otherwise about 4 hours to do

To all the VIP's for AM GENERAL

Anyone arriving in TO the 20th in the evening??

which Hotel are you staying at?,

if we are leaving around 0700 would be great to be all at the same place. Departure all at the same time. like when we were in St Sauveur.

Easy to organize Logistic when everyone is at the same place.

We, Julie and myself, ran the Convoy route last night and will be emailing it to all confirmed people traveling with us THIS coming Thursday. We will have stops along the 401 to meet before we head over the boarder. The old meeting stop of the Flying J will NOT work this year as they have closed the restaurant for renovations, therefore we have found another stop that can accommodate us for our final stop, a Husky Travel Centre.

We also are working with our US partners in finalizing the last minute details on the event Itinerary, not as easy as you might think as there are a lot of parties involved in making this happen, the plan is to have this in the confirmed members hand prior to Monday morning.

At anytime you can email me at dwax@canadianhummerclub.com or Julie at julie@canadianhummerclub.com and we will answer any and all questions we can..

A few items you should have to be prepared for the trip..

  • Truck in GREAT running condition, have all your fluids, etc checked out, it is a long drive and we should be prepared, just in case anything comes up <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' /> ( remember this isn't an extreme Off Road event)
  • Spare tire, always good to have on long trips
  • CB radio, this is how we will be communicating along the route, if you do not have one, then a Cell phone with a full battery
  • Supplies, a good road side kit is always, water, blankets, jackets, and gloves, and some munchies. we will be stopping along the way for fuel and washroom breaks but you never know..
  • Camera of course, lots to take photos of..
The final cost is still being worked out, it is still a min as we originally wanted and stated, and that will be also confirmed with the official itinerary..

we are on the final stretch...pretty excited...see you all soon..

Thanks Darcy... it has been a lot of work and we are truly disaappointed..but on the bright side, we will have it rescheduled for next year and we have AM General's commitment for that. When you are dealing with the Military and Government of a foreign country, I guess anything can happen last minute and that is the fact of the matter. All of the confirmed members will be invited to a call this evening, as per the email, and we will discuss in the detail the exact reasons that have lead up to this being cancelled.
