This is a very common issue with the mirrors in the 2003, 2004 and 2005 style mirrors, the motor in at the base and it rusts very easy and stops working, if you truck is still under edtended warranty, the dealer will replace with the new style that have the motor in the top. If not you have two choices, find a replacement motor, or replace the mirrors to the newer style. More 03-05 owners swap to the new style when this happens..you can get them on ebay at a pretty good price..about $500 for the pair. I had to do mine...

Both my mirrors do not retract so I will swap to the new style. What part no. Should I be searching for on eBay? I think these are hard to find. Hoping the new style has no chrome?

My H2 is 04.

Ebay has a few.

Kijiji I usually search all of ontario by typing hummer h2, and then click on the left side of screen parts.

Cheers

Mine are broken, but I don't really care if my mirrors fold in or not, and I used the money I would have spent on new mirrors on a GOBI rack!
