Can anyone tell me how I can confirm my Turbo is working on my 6.5 Diesel?

there is an electrical switch that does cause problems . It is on the right mid top of the engine.About a $35 switch that is a re-acurring problem.Replaced mine twice before going to mechanical.Tc got his from the duck and I from Heath Diesel.

Drop by Phil for a quick check.

If you have the engine cover off pull the actuator rod all the way out with the truck off. Start the truck and observe the actuator. If it moves after starting you have vacuum a good sign. Remove the big black air intake hose and look for moving turbo blades with a flashlight shining down the intake bend. Both the boost sensor and the boost switch on the intake rail Pass. side are known to fail so its worth checking or replacing those as well. They will show up on a scan with the Tech 2.

bushings and seals worn out, needed a  rebuild. Oil was passing by the seal area and leaking into the exhaust side giving a lot of smoke from the pipe.
