Growing up I spent a lot of time out in the woods logging, a lot of the skidders would run a set of chains to increase traction when they would get into swampy conditions.
Just wondering if anybody has ever tried using chains specifically designed for mud and what your impression was. They seem like it would make a low cost alternative to buying a dedicated set of mud tires.

These chains are built specifically for off-road use to get you through the mud. These ladder style chains are similar to the Highway Service CAM Chain except that they are 30 percent thicker. They are available in both single mount and dual mount.
