hey all, so yesturday i was at the University of Guelph helping move in when i got pulled over on campus by a "CAMPUS POLICE"  <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /angry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='>:(' /><<<first of all what a joke. theyre "limited peace officers" and pretty much nothing else. The guy gave me a $110 ticket for "failing to display 2 license plates"...well i was not to happy about this; especially after having my truck for a long time, driving through MANY ride programs and driving past thousands of cops in all cities. So why all of a sudden does this stupid fake cop decide to start harassing me and give me one of the stupidest tickets? im just wondering if H1's actually need 2 plates, because i thought vehicles (trucks) of a certain size only needed one. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='???' /> If anyone knows that'd be great! 

I believe all Ontario vehicles need 2 plates. Do not put plate on visor-- can be another ticket.



If you have a roof rack , tie rap it up there. Mine is up there and behind an offroad lamp. I know of another vehicle problem--

USA vehicles do not have mounts on the front,ie new Mustage GT, he was told that plate had to be on the front.Tie raped it to the grill cause he was not going to put holes in the front bumper..



If this was DW, he would have said it got lost off roading in a mud pond!!

be carefull University of Toronto Police are not fake cops they are real police in fact Toronto police have to ask permission to act on U of T property also CN and CP are full Police as they operate on Crown  Grant land . On size of vehicle sorry even 3 ton and tractors need 2 plates Capt. Black drove for Purolator.

Unfortunately I think you do. I had mine zip tied to the front bumper with good hydro ties. Sometimes you are lucky but in the end you get screwed over. I've seen high end sports cars without them but I'm sure they rather pay a ticket that displaying a plate or wrecking their front bumpers.
