It's been a while since I have replaced shocks on a vehicle. I have assumed that when I picked up my H2 just over a year ago, the black shocks on it were factory from 2003.
Today I picked up some Rancho 5000, as they performed well with my previous truck.
I remember way back that shocks were compressed with a plastic tie around to keep them that way and you cut the plastic part way through installation.
The new shocks did not have these and were already collapsed in sealed boxes. So....my assumption is that could they be auto loading after installation and a drive around the block?

auto-sensing after installation.
btw...corners nice and tight, for a heavy vehicle, and takes the bumps smooth.
