To show our commitment to the environment and nature, I have signed our group up as tread lightly members and we will show how much we respect nature and promote responsible Four-Wheeling..

I will from time to time be posting different tips and hints on how to respect nature so that we will still have places to wheel..

Keep an eye here, also feel free to join as a member to.. it is a great cause and organization.

tread lightly!

Reconnoiter Ahead on Foot. When in doubt, get out!

 • Know what's ahead of you. Even if you know the trail, stop frequently. Get out and walk ahead and observe. Take nothing for granted!
 • Know what difficulties lay ahead before you encounter them. Evaluate the alternative and find the easiest, least dangerous and least damaging choice.
 • Don't Barge on regardless! Getting out and walking ahead lets you enjoy your surroundings and refreshes you for the challenges ahead.

Did we join the Canadian version of Tread Lightly or the US one?

I don't see our name under the current members list on the US one;

and the Canadian one seems to have shut down recently, the web site expired

Great step forward Derek. This will certainly help with the Hummer reputation, although, many of the H1 guys may have trouble following your above posted "suggestions" to stop and get out and take the easiest, least dangerous way.....seem to remember some H1 at the rally that you were following that blazed his own trail!!!
