Post by Chance »

Hey guys and gals, <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Just stepped into the wonderful world of Hummers by bringing over a nice 05  H2 from the U.S.

I need to get some daytime running lights installed, any ideas in and around the Hamilton (ONT) area?

Thanks to all !

Welcome to the forum.  Nice choice in Hummer.

I have a 05 Black on Black Hummer H2 from California that I imported recently.  As for the Daytime Running Lights, your Hummer already has them.  The small round lights below your headlights are Daytime Running Lights.  The only thing you have to do is get your Hummer switched over from a US to Can vehicle so the dealership will have to flash your computer to make it so that your daytime running lights cannot be shut off (that makes them legal in Canada...there is also a cheap way of cutting the ground on the switch to disable the switch so that they cannot be shut off).  Beyond that, it is a simple Federal Inspection (done at Canadain Tire across Canada) and a safety check and you are good to go.  Rmember, if you don't have a temporary permit for your Hummer from the sales agent, you have to have your Hummer towed to the Federal Inspection as it is not a legal vehicle and if there was any accident, your insurance will not cover anything.

Steve is the only one who works on my Hummer and I travel 3.5 hours to get my vehicle to him.  The best for H2 bar none!!
